Westmoreland Table Lamp
Greene & Greene Inspired — African Mahogany
The Westmoreland is an original Craftsmen Studio design inspired by the artistry of Greene and Greene. Unlike the wide flat-shaded forms found elsewhere in the collection, the Westmoreland takes the form of a tall, narrow square lantern — four corner posts in African mahogany with ebony inlay details rising to create a for post lamp with inset stained glass windows. The result is a lamp with a distinctly architectural presence, as much a decorative object as a light source.
The stained glass panels are handmade using the copper foil method, featuring a cherry blossom motif — white blooms and buds on dark branching stems set against a warm amber background glass. When lit, the amber glow through the blossom panels is exceptionally warm and organic, connecting the lamp visually to the Japanese-influenced naturalism that runs through so much of Greene & Greene's finest work. The lamp operates on a single socket with a high/low roller switch, rated for up to 75 watts.
