Riverside Floor Lamp

Arts and Crafts Floor Lamp — Quarter-Sawn White Oak

The Riverside floor lamp is among the most visually striking pieces in the Craftsmen Studio collection. The base is built from hand-selected quarter-sawn white oak and takes a form inspired by Stickley's Model #500 floor lamp — four splayed legs joined to a heavy central post with large pyramid-head nails. The deep reddish-brown Craftsman finish brings out the medullary ray figure across the oak surfaces, and hand-driven copper pyramid-head nails accent the joinery in the classic Arts and Crafts manner.

The low-pitch square shade sits atop the base on four angled supports, with a rectangular apron running below the main shade panels — a design detail that echoes the furniture traditions of the period. The shade is available in two options: warm amber mica, which fills the room with the soft, honeyed glow most associated with Arts and Crafts interiors; or a hand-leaded poppy flower stained glass design for those wanting color and pattern in their light. Four individually operated pull-chain sockets rated for up to 75 watts each provide flexible lighting control. The lamp stands 60 inches tall.

Made entirely to order from hand-selected quarter-sawn white oak.
